The Japanese saw or error: {{nihongo}}: Japanese or romaji text required (help) is a type of saw used in woodworking. The saw cuts on the pull stroke (when the saw is pulled backwards), unlike many Western saws which cut on the push stroke (when the saw is pushed forward).

Types of Japanese hand saws

There are several types of Japanese saws:
