Jason Stanton is a well-known coach in both rugby league and rugby union. He is famous for leading the Australian women's rugby sevens team to victory. This big win happened at the first-ever women's tournament of the 2009 Rugby World Cup Sevens in 2009.
Jason also helped start the Cronulla Sharks Skills Academy. He even set up their first Women's NRL team. Later, he was an Assistant Coach for the NZ KiwiFerns in the 2017 Women's Rugby League World Cup. Before coaching, Jason Stanton played rugby himself. He represented Lebanon in the 2000 Rugby League World Cup. He also played for their national sevens team in 2006.

Early Life and School Sports
Jason Stanton went to St Patrick's College, Strathfield. He finished school there in 1993. During his time at college, he was a talented athlete. He played for the school's top cricket team (First XI Cricket). He also played for their main rugby team (First XV Rugby).
In 1993, Jason was chosen as a "Fly half" for the NSW ISA First XV Rugby team. This is a key position in rugby. He also played junior rugby league for several teams. These included Canterbury (under 17s), Balmain (under 19s), and Easts (under 19s, under 21s, and Reserve Grade).
Playing Rugby for Lebanon
Jason Stanton played rugby league at a high level. He represented his country, Lebanon. He played for them in the 2000 Rugby League World Cup. This is a very important international competition.
In 2006, Jason also played for the Lebanon rugby league sevens team. Rugby sevens is a faster version of rugby with fewer players. His team won the Orara Valley 7's tournament that year. They beat Fiji in the final game. Jason was even named the runner-up for "player of the tournament."

Jason has also worked as a skills coach. He helped the Queensland Reds in 2009. He also advised the South African rugby sevens team from 2008 to 2011. He even traveled with them in 2010 and 2011.
He also helped set up the Cronulla Sharks NRL Women's program. He was the Head Coach for their women's team. Jason also works as a consultant coach for the Stormers rugby union side. This is a professional team in the Super XV Rugby competition.
