He even got called up to play for the Wales national team in the 2000 Six Nations Championship. Although he was on the bench for a game against Scotland, he didn't get to play in that match.

Jason's Rugby Journey

Jason Strange had a long and exciting career in rugby. He played for many different teams, showing his skills as a fly-half and fullback.

Playing for Clubs

Jason started his professional career in Wales. He played for Pontypridd RFC in 1996 and 1997. After that, he moved to Ebbw Vale RFC, where he played for four years until 2001. He then joined Newport RFC for two seasons.

In 2003, Jason moved to England. He played for Rotherham for one season. Then, he joined Bristol RFC in 2004, where he played for four years. He scored a lot of points for Bristol, becoming a key player for them. His last club as a player was Leeds Carnegie, where he played until 2010.

Becoming a Coach

After finishing his playing career, Jason decided to become a coach. He returned to Ebbw Vale RFC in 2010, this time as a coach. He helped the team a lot.

Under his coaching, Ebbw Vale RFC was promoted back to the Welsh Premiership League. This happened at the end of the 2013–14 season. After five successful years with Ebbw Vale, Jason got a new job. The WRU hired him to coach the Wales national under-20 rugby union team. He later also became a backs coach for Cardiff Blues.

Jason Strange is a great example of someone who loved rugby so much that he continued to be a part of it, first as a player and then as a coach.
