From Track to Ice: Bobsleigh Career

While he was a student, Jason won the British College's Long Jump championship three times. His coach, Allan Wells, who was an Olympic 100m runner, introduced him to the exciting sport of bobsleigh. Jason quickly joined the Great Britain team and competed in World Cup races.

He was chosen for the 1992 Winter Olympics team in France, but he decided to play professional Rugby League instead. However, he returned to bobsleigh for the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer, Norway. There, he and his team finished an impressive fifth place in the four-man bobsleigh event.

After a short break, Jason returned to bobsleigh again and was selected for the 1998 Winter Olympics team. Sadly, a thigh injury during a World Cup race in Canada ended his bobsleigh career.

Before his bobsleigh career, Jason played Rugby Union as a teenager. He later switched to Rugby League while studying in London.
