Jen Storer (born April 25, 1961) is a fantastic Australian author who writes books especially for children. Many of her stories have been chosen for big awards in Australia, like the Prime Minister's Literary Awards and the Children's Book Council of Australia Book of the Year. Her books are known for having strong girl characters, lots of humor, exciting adventures, and sometimes even a little bit of spooky fun!

About Jen Storer

Jen's Early Life and Education

Jen Storer grew up in Horsham, Victoria, Australia. She was the youngest of four children in her family. Later, Jen went to Monash University. She studied hard and earned a special degree in 2000.

Becoming a Writer

After finishing university, Jen started working in publishing. She was an editor, which means she helped make books ready for printing. She also worked on new ideas for stories. Soon, Jen decided to write her own books for kids. Her very first book was called I Hate Sport. It came out in 2004 as part of the Aussie Chomps series. Today, Jen Storer lives and works in Melbourne. She writes her wonderful stories from a studio at the Abbotsford Convent.
