Jenkins is a small, quiet place in Morris County, Texas. It's what we call an unincorporated community. This means it's a group of homes and businesses that isn't officially a city or town with its own local government.
A Look at Jenkins' History
Jenkins is located near the Ellison Creek Reservoir. You can find it about five miles from Daingerfield, right off U.S. Route 259. In 1940, about 40 people lived there. By 1984, the community had a church and a few local businesses.
