Jennifer Roy, born on May 26, 1967, is an American author who writes books for children. She is famous for her fiction, especially the novel Yellow Star. This book has won several important awards. These include the Boston Globe-Horn Book Honor Award in 2006 and the William Allen White Children's Book Award in 2009. It was also recognized as an ALA Notable Book.
Roy has written many books for young readers. She has created 35 educational books for kids aged 5 to 16. This includes a series called "You Can Write." Her first book with pictures, Jars of Hope, was published in August 2015.
