Jenny Oldfield grew up in Harrogate, a town in Yorkshire, England. Even when she was a little girl, she loved writing stories. She would even make tiny books with her own drawings!
She went to Birmingham University to study English. There, she learned a lot about famous books, including those by the Bronte sisters and children's literature. After university, Jenny worked as a teacher. But soon, she decided to focus all her energy on writing.
Jenny writes books for both children and adults. When she's not busy at her desk, she loves being outdoors. She enjoys the countryside, going for walks, gardening, playing tennis, and riding horses. She also loves to travel with her two daughters, Kate and Eve.
