Jenny Oldfield grew up in Harrogate, a town in Yorkshire, England. Even when she was a child, she loved to write stories. She would even make tiny books and draw pictures for them!

Later, Jenny studied English at Birmingham University. She learned a lot about classic books and stories for children. After university, she worked as a teacher for a while. But her true passion was writing, so she decided to become a full-time author.

Jenny writes books for both kids and adults. When she's not busy writing, she loves to be outdoors. She enjoys the countryside, going for walks, gardening, playing tennis, and riding horses. She also loves to travel with her two daughters, Kate and Eve.

Jenny Oldfield has written many exciting book series. One popular series is Horses of Half Moon Ranch. This series follows a brother and sister, Matt and Kirstie Scott. Their mom, Sandy Glassner Scott, owns a horse ranch.

Kirstie loves horses very much and spends as much time as she can with them. In the series, Matt and Kirstie face many challenges. They have to work together to solve problems. Kirstie especially hates to see horses treated badly. She often goes to great lengths to protect them. There are about 24 books in this series. Kirstie also enjoys spending time with her best friend, Lisa.

Jenny Oldfield also writes under different names, called pseudonyms. Some of these names include Jasmine Oliver, Donna King, Kate Fielding, Tina Nolan, and Kate Pennington. She also helped write books for the Animal Ark series. For those books, she wrote with other authors under the name Lucy Daniels.
