Jesse (picture book) facts for kids

Jesse is a children's picture book from 1988. It was written by Australian author Tim Winton and illustrated by Maureen Prichard. The story is about a young boy named Jesse who goes on an adventure all by himself, exploring the wild countryside just beyond his garden gate.
Jesse's Big Adventure
One morning, while his parents are still asleep, Jesse puts on his gumboots. He decides to go outside and explore. He walks past his own yard and into the wider countryside. Jesse soon discovers that the world outside his home can be both exciting and a little bit scary. As darkness begins to fall, Jesse realizes he is lost. Luckily, some friendly animals help him find his way back home.
