Jez Alborough is a famous English writer and artist. He creates wonderful children's picture books. His books are loved all over the world! They have been translated into more than 15 languages. Many of his books have also won special awards.

Jez Alborough was born on November 12, 1959, in Kingston upon Thames, London. After school, he studied art at the Norwich School of Art. While there, he even published his very first book, A Bun Dance.

Later, he worked for a magazine called The Listener. He published another book there, Dotty Definitions. Soon, a publisher noticed his amazing drawing skills. They asked him to write and illustrate a children's book. This first children's book, Bare Bear, came out in 1985. Since then, Jez Alborough has been a full-time author and illustrator. He lives in Richmond, London, with his wife.
