Jez Alborough is a famous English writer and illustrator. He creates wonderful picture books for kids. His books have been translated into many languages, at least 15! They have also won many awards.

Jez Alborough was born on November 12, 1959. He grew up in Kingston upon Thames, a part of Southwest London. After finishing school, he went to the Norwich School of Art. While he was there, he published his very first book called A Bun Dance.

Later, Jez worked for a magazine called The Listener. He published another work there, titled Dotty Definitions. Soon, a publisher noticed his amazing drawing skills. They offered him a chance to write and illustrate his first children's book. This book was called Bare Bear and it came out in 1985. Since then, Jez Alborough has been working on his own. He writes and draws all his books himself. Today, he lives in Richmond, London, with his wife.
