Joan Vizcarra Carreras, born in 1967 in Montblanc, Tarragona, is a famous Spanish cartoonist. He is well-known for his funny drawings called caricatures. Many of his works have been published in El Jueves, a popular magazine in Spain that makes people laugh with its satirical drawings.
When Joan was young, he loved music, especially rock and roll. But soon, he discovered a passion for drawing. In 1985, he moved to Barcelona to study art at the University. There, he found out he was really good at drawing caricatures. Caricatures are special drawings where a person's funny or unique features are exaggerated to make them look humorous.
Since 1991, Joan Vizcarra has worked for El Jueves, which is one of Spain's most important satirical magazines. He has also drawn for other newspapers like El Periódico de Catalunya and Avui.
