Sir John Campbell (born around 1490, died May 1, 1546) was an important Scottish nobleman. He is known as the founder of the Campbells of Cawdor, a powerful family in Scotland.

John was the third son of Archibald Campbell, 2nd Earl of Argyll and Elizabeth Stewart. Elizabeth was the daughter of John Stewart, 1st Earl of Lennox. In 1510, John married Muriel Calder. She was the daughter and heir of Sir John Calder of Calder. This marriage helped to connect the Campbell family with the lands of Calder.
