John F. Emory (born January 27, 1886 – died December 1968) was an American baseball player. He was a talented pitcher who played in the Negro Leagues and the Cuban League. John Emory was born in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. He passed away in Montoursville, Pennsylvania, at the age of 82.

John Emory's Baseball Career
John Emory was a professional baseball pitcher. He played during a time when baseball in the United States was segregated. This meant that African American players could not play in the major leagues. Instead, they played in their own professional leagues, known as the Negro Leagues. These leagues were very competitive and featured many amazing players.
Playing for the Royal Giants
In 1906, John Emory joined the Brooklyn Royal Giants. This team was one of the top teams in the early Negro Leagues. As a pitcher, his job was to throw the baseball to the batter. He tried to make it hard for the batter to hit the ball. Playing for the Royal Giants was an important start to his career.
Time with the Philadelphia Giants
After his time with the Brooklyn Royal Giants, Emory moved to another team. In 1909, he played for the Philadelphia Giants. The Philadelphia Giants were also a very strong team. They were known for having many skilled players. John Emory continued to show his pitching talent with this team.
Playing Baseball in Cuba
John Emory's baseball career also took him outside the United States. In 1910, he played for Club Fé in the Cuban League. The Cuban League was a professional baseball league in Cuba. Later Life
John Emory lived a long life after his baseball career. He passed away in December 1968. He was 82 years old at the time of his death. He died in Montoursville, Pennsylvania, which is near his hometown.
