John Manners, 4th Earl of Rutland facts for kids
John Manners, 4th Earl of Rutland (born around 1559 – died 24 February 1588), was an important English nobleman. He was the son of Henry Manners, who was the 2nd Earl of Rutland, and Lady Margaret Neville. John Manners held the title of Earl, which meant he was a high-ranking noble in England during the time of Queen Elizabeth I.
Family Life and Children
John Manners married Elizabeth Charlton. She was the daughter of Francis Charlton from Apley Castle. Together, John and Elizabeth had ten children. Their children continued the family line and held important positions in society.
