John Semple (born 1801, died 1882) was an important Irish architect. He is famous for designing many beautiful churches, like Monkstown Church, Dublin and St. Marys Chapel of Ease, Dublin. People thought his building style was very modern for his time.
John learned a lot about architecture from his father, who was also an architect. His family had a history of working with buildings. In 1823, John started working with his father for an organization called the Board of First Fruits. This board helped build and fix churches in Ireland.
