Sir John's Life and Lands

At one point, King Edward I of England forgave Sir John and Robert Bruce (the grandfather of the future Scottish king) for hunting without permission in the King's forest.

In 1296, Sir John showed his loyalty to King Edward I in a ceremony at Berwick. This was for the lands he owned in Scotland. Sir John de Seton passed away in 1299. After his death, his son Christopher was named as the person who would inherit his property.
