Later, in 1997, a new company called Fired Up, Inc. bought Spageddies. The founders of Fired Up, Inc. were Norman Abdallah and Creed Ford III. They changed the name of the restaurants to Johnny Carino's.
Challenges and Changes
Over the years, Johnny Carino's has faced some difficult times. The company had financial problems in 2014 and again in 2016. Because of these challenges, many Johnny Carino's locations had to close down. At one point, there were more than 170 Johnny Carino's restaurants across the United States. However, by August 31, 2023, only 37 locations were still open.
