John Henry Juran (born May 8, 1900 – died December 22, 1972) was an American baseball player. He was a pitcher in the Negro leagues during the 1920s.

Playing in the Negro Leagues
Johnny Juran played for the Birmingham Black Barons baseball team in 1923 and 1924. The Negro leagues were professional baseball leagues in the United States. They were created because African American players were not allowed to play in the major leagues at that time. These leagues gave talented Black athletes a chance to play professional baseball and show off their skills.
The Birmingham Black Barons were a very famous team in the Negro leagues. They played their home games in Birmingham, Alabama. Many great baseball players were part of this team over the years.

After his time playing baseball, Johnny Juran lived until he was 72 years old. He passed away in Birmingham, Alabama, in 1972.
