Shannon Jonell Showes, known to many as Jonell, is an American singer. She was born on February 20, 1977. Jonell is famous for her R&B music, a popular style of music.
Jonell started her music career in 2001. She became known for her song Round and Round. This song was part of producer Hi-Tek's album, Hi-Teknology. A special remix of Round and Round also appeared on the How High movie soundtrack. This remix featured the rapper Method Man.
In 2003, Jonell planned to release her first album, called "Know Me". It was going to be released by the Def Soul record label. Her first song from this album was So Whassup, which featured the rapper Redman. However, the album was never officially released. By 2005, her page on the Def Soul website was no longer available.
Later in 2005, Jonell shared updates on a blog on MySpace. She mentioned that she was working on new music. But this new album also did not come out.
