Jordan Page (born June 13, 1979) is an American singer and musician. He started writing songs in December 2006. His early music often talked about politics during the time of President George W. Bush.
Many of his songs speak out against the United States getting involved in other countries' problems. Instead, Jordan Page's music supports peace and a policy of not interfering with other nations. His song "War Machine" talks about how big businesses and the military can work together. Page's music also supports basic freedoms, which he feels are sometimes at risk. Many people who believe in libertarianism (a political idea that focuses on freedom and limited government) like Jordan Page's music. He has performed at many events that support these ideas, including for Ron Paul's campaigns to become president in 2008 and 2012.
Jordan Page's Music Journey
Jordan Page has built his career around making music that sounds and feels like the folk music from the late 1900s. These older musicians also used their songs to try and bring about political change.
Songs About Freedom
In his song "Song for Bob Dylan," Jordan Page points out how he is similar to other musicians who use music to push for political change. The song specifically mentions that he and Bob Dylan both believe that war is wrong.
Supporting Ideas with Music
Jordan Page has been a follower of Congressman Ron Paul since late 2007. Soon after, he began writing songs about the congressman's ideas. He also performed to support Pat McGeehan's campaign for a seat in the West Virginia Senate. Page has also played at events connected to the Free State Project, like the Porcupine Freedom Festival. These events are often about promoting freedom and individual liberty.
