Jordan had already won two Ironman competitions when he faced a serious challenge. In March 2010, he was in a severe car accident while riding his bike. He suffered many broken bones and lost a lot of blood. Luckily, a Chief Petty Officer named Thomas Sanchez helped him, which saved his life.

Jordan's recovery took many months. But he showed amazing determination and returned to competition. In August 2011, he won Ironman Canada. This victory was followed by several other wins in long-distance multi-sport events, proving his strength and comeback spirit.
