Jordi Cussà (born in Berga, Spain, on January 18, 1961 – died July 11, 2021) was a talented Spanish writer who wrote in the Catalan language. He was known for his novels, plays, and for translating many books into Catalan.

Who Was Jordi Cussà?
Jordi Cussà was born in a town called Berga in Spain. From a young age, he loved storytelling and theatre. In the late 1970s, he helped start a theatre group in his hometown called Anònim Theatre. He worked there as a writer for plays and also as an actor.
His First Big Book
Jordi Cussà's first novel, Cavalls salvatges (which means Wild Horses), was published in 2000. This book was very popular with both readers and critics. People liked it because it used new and exciting ways of writing and telling stories.
A Busy Writer and Translator
After Cavalls salvatges, Jordi Cussà wrote many other books. Some of his well-known novels include La Serp (2001), El Ciclop (2017), and A Reveure, Espanya (2010). His last book, El primer emperador i la reina Lluna, came out in 2021.
Besides writing his own stories, Jordi Cussà was also a professional translator. This means he changed books written in other languages into Catalan. He translated works by famous authors like Chuck Palahniuk, John Boyne, Patricia Highsmith, and Truman Capote. He was also a member of the Associació d'Escriptors en Llengua Catalana, which is an association for writers who write in Catalan.
