Jordi Sevilla facts for kids
Jordi Sevilla Segura was born in Valencia, Spain on March 19, 1956. He is a Spanish politician and an expert in economics. He was the chairman of Red Eléctrica Group from 2018 to 2020. Before that, he served as the Minister for Public Administration from 2004 to 2007.
Jordi Sevilla is married and has three children. He studied Economics at the University of Valencia. He also became a high-level economic advisor for the Spanish government.

A Career in Government
Jordi Sevilla spent many years working in the Spanish government. He helped shape important economic policies.
Working with Top Leaders
From 1985 to 1991, he was an advisor on international economic matters. He worked closely with the cabinet of the Prime Minister of Spain. Later, from 1991 to 1993, he led the office of the Minister of Agriculture, Pedro Solbes. He continued to work with Pedro Solbes from 1993 to 1996. During this time, he was the Director of the Office for the Minister of Economy and Finance.
Serving in Parliament
Between 1998 and 2000, Jordi Sevilla advised the Socialist political group in the Spanish Parliament. In 2000, he was elected to the Spanish Congress. He represented the Castellon Province. Voters chose him again in 2004 and 2008. He also held a role as Secretary of Economic Policy. He was part of the main committee for the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party.
Becoming a Minister
After his party won the general election, Jordi Sevilla became a government minister. On April 18, 2004, he was named Minister of Public Administration. He held this important job until July 6, 2007. Then, Elena Salgado, who was the Health Minister, took over his role.
After Public Office
In September 2008, Jordi Sevilla left his seat in the Congress of Deputies. He decided to join a private company called PricewaterhouseCoopers.
