Jorge Ariel Guinzburg (born February 3, 1949 – died March 12, 2008) was a famous Argentine journalist and humorist. He was also a well-known TV and radio host. Jorge was a very creative person. He worked as a theatrical producer and wrote many scripts. People loved his funny shows and his unique way of presenting news.

Early Life and Education

Jorge Guinzburg was born on February 3, 1949, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. His family was Jewish. He finished high school in 1966. He was friends with Carlos Abrevaya during his school years.

Starting His Career Path

In 1967, Jorge and Carlos started studying law. However, they soon decided that law school was not for them. Jorge then joined a drama school to learn about acting. While studying, he worked as a taxi driver. This job helped him earn money and meet many different people.

First Steps in Writing

By 1971, Jorge became a scriptwriter. He wrote for famous TV personalities like Juan Carlos Mareco. Later, he also wrote for the popular Fontana Show. This was the beginning of his successful career in entertainment.

Working with Carlos Abrevaya

Jorge Guinzburg passed away on March 12, 2008. He was 59 years old.

His Final Days

Jorge had been in the Mater Dei clinic for six days before he died. He had broken a bone in his back. He was also suffering from a serious lung illness. This illness was a type of lung cancer that caused problems with his lungs.

His Burial Place

Jorge Guinzburg was buried at the La Tablada Israelite Cemetery. This cemetery is in Argentina. His grave is near the grave of Jaime Barylko [es], a writer who passed away in 2002. Jorge is remembered for his humor, his creativity, and his many contributions to Argentine media.
