Ariel Pagtalonia Manalo (born February 12, 1966), who is known by his stage name Jose Manalo, is a famous actor, director, and comedian from the Philippines. He is most famous for being a regular host on the popular noon-time show Eat Bulaga!. Many people also know him for his funny stand-up comedy shows.

Personal Life
Jose Manalo was married to Anna Lyn Santos, who passed away in 2022. Together, they had five children. Their son, Benj Manalo, is also an actor.
In December 2024, Manalo married Gene Maranan, a dancer from the show Eat Bulaga!.
Career Journey
Getting Started in Show Business
Jose Manalo's career in entertainment began in 1990 on a children's show called Boyoyong. Two years later, he acted in the TV drama Valiente.
After that, he started working behind the scenes on the show Eat Bulaga! as a production assistant. This job involved helping to make sure the show ran smoothly. While working there, he got the chance to become a comedian on screen. He often performed with his friend Wally Bayola, and they became a popular comedy team.
Manalo also appeared in several funny TV shows on the GMA Network, such as Daddy Di Do Du and Ful Haus, which both starred the famous actor Vic Sotto.
Becoming a Star
In 2010, Manalo returned to the TV channel TV5 to be in the comedy show My Darling Aswang with Vic Sotto.
A year later, in 2011, Manalo and his comedy partner Wally Bayola got their own show on TV5 called The Jose and Wally Show Starring Vic Sotto. He also worked with Vic Sotto in movies, including Pak! Pak! My Dr. Kwak! and Enteng ng Ina Mo.
The Eat Bulaga! Move
In 2023, Manalo and the other main hosts of Eat Bulaga! decided to leave their production company, TAPE, Inc.. This group of hosts, known as the "Legit Dabarkads," moved to TV5. They started a new show that was eventually renamed Eat Bulaga! in January 2024, continuing the legacy of the famous program.
