Ariel Pagtalonia Manalo (born February 12, 1966), known professionally as Jose Manalo, is a famous Filipino actor, director, and comedian. He is best known for being a regular host on the popular noon-time TV show Eat Bulaga!. He has appeared on GMA Network and now on TV5. Jose Manalo is also loved for his funny stand-up comedy shows.

Early Life and Family
Jose Manalo was born on February 12, 1966. He was married to Anna Lyn Santos, who passed away in January 2022. They had five children together. These include Myki, who is a medical doctor, and Benj Manalo, who is also an actor. His other children are Sherwin Nicco, Ai, and Colyn.
On December 2, 2024, Jose Manalo got engaged to Gene Maranan, a dancer from EB Babe. They were married soon after, on December 17.
Career Journey
Jose Manalo started his career in television in 1990. His first appearance was in a children's educational show called Boyoyong. In 1992, he also acted in the TV soap opera Valiente. He played a supporting role in this series.
Later, Jose Manalo began working behind the scenes. He was a production assistant for the popular show Eat Bulaga!. This experience helped him learn more about television. He then became a comedian. He teamed up with his friend Wally Bayola, who was also starting in show business. They became a very popular comedy duo.
Jose Manalo also appeared in many sitcoms on GMA Network. These shows include Daddy Di Do Du and Ful Haus. Both of these sitcoms starred the famous actor Vic Sotto.
Moving to TV5
In 2010, Jose Manalo returned to TV5. This network was formerly known as ABC 5. He starred in the sitcom My Darling Aswang with Vic Sotto and Richie Reyes. This was his second TV show on TV5.
In 2011, Jose Manalo and Wally Bayola got their own comedy show on TV5. It was called The Jose and Wally Show Starring Vic Sotto. Jimmy Santos also joined them on the show. Jose Manalo also worked with Vic Sotto in movies. These include Pak! Pak! My Dr. Kwak! and the film festival entry Enteng ng Ina Mo.
Changes at Eat Bulaga!
In 2023, Jose Manalo and other hosts of Eat Bulaga! left TAPE, Inc.. This happened after a disagreement between the company and the hosts Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon. The hosts, known as the "Legit Dabarkads", then moved to TV5. They started hosting a new program called E.A.T.. This show was later renamed Eat Bulaga! on January 6, 2024.
