Josep Gudiol i Ricart (1904–1985) was a famous art historian from Catalonia, Spain. He was also known as José Gudiol. He studied and wrote a lot about Spanish art, especially old paintings from the Romanesque and Gothic periods.

- Las Pinturas Murales Románicas de Cataluña (written with Jose Pijoán in 1948). This book was about Romanesque wall paintings in Catalonia.
- Arquitectura y Escultura Románicas (written with Juan Antonio Gaya Nuño in 1948). This book focused on Romanesque buildings and sculptures.
Leading an Art Institute
