Josep Palomero i Almela, born in 1953 in Borriana, Spain, is a well-known Valencian expert in language. He is also the vice-president of the Valencian Language Academy. He has dedicated his life to studying and promoting the Valencian language and its literature.

About His Life

Josep Palomero studied the Spanish language and literature, earning his degree from the Autonomous University of Barcelona in 1976. In 2016, he earned his highest university degree, a doctorate, from the Jaume I University in Castelló. His doctoral research focused on the life and writings of Artur Perucho Badia.

He worked as a high school teacher for many years. From 1977 to 1985, he taught Spanish language and literature. Then, from 1985 to 2013, he taught Valencian language and literature.

Palomero is a member of several important groups. These include the Valencian Language Academy and the Association of Catalan-language writers. He is also part of international writing and publishing organizations.

Besides teaching, he has been involved in local politics in his hometown. He also held positions in the Education Department of the Generalitat Valenciana, which is the regional government of Valencia. He has written many books and articles, mostly in the Catalan language.
