How Judge Got Its Name
The community of Judge was named after a person! It was named for A. J. Branson, who was a local judge (a person who makes decisions in a court of law). He was the first owner of the land where the community was built.
When Was Judge Established?
A post office was opened in Judge in 1914. This means people living there could send and receive mail. The post office stayed open for about eight years, closing down in 1922.
