Robert Louis Carr III, known as Judge Da Boss, is an American rapper. He was born in Phoenix, Arizona on May 3, 1985. In 2014, he signed with Louder Than Life/Sony Records.

Early Life and Music Beginnings

Judge Da Boss grew up in Phoenix, Arizona. He went to different elementary schools there. When he was in seventh grade, he discovered his love for music. He learned about poetry, hip-hop, and many other music styles.

This inspired him to start rapping at age 12. He practiced his rap skills for several years. During his first year of high school, he went into a recording studio for the very first time.

Musical Career Highlights

Judge Da Boss won a rap competition called “The Chosen One.” He beat over 100 other local artists. This caught the attention of NBA superstar Amar'e Stoudemire. Stoudemire signed Judge Da Boss to his music label, Hypocalypto Records.

Judge then released his first mixtape, also called “The Chosen One.” Amar'e Stoudemire and DJ Quote helped host this project. While promoting his mixtape, Judge performed with many famous artists. These included Young Jeezy, 2 Chainz, YG, Rick Ross, and Plies.

He later released another project with Phoenix artist Vik Junior. He also put out another solo record. His song “Stat and Melo” is a special song for the New York Knicks basketball team. It is still played at Madison Square Garden today.

After his deal with Hypocalypto Records ended, Judge Da Boss started working with Rampage. Rampage is from the famous Flipmode Squad group. In 2013, Judge's song “... Money” was used in the movie Movie 43. On July 23, 2014, it was announced that Judge signed with Louder Than Life/Sony Records.
