Judson, Missouri facts for kids
Judson is a small place in Sullivan County, Missouri, that doesn't have its own local government. It's known as an "unincorporated community" because it's not officially a city or town with a mayor and city council.
History
Judson was once a busy little spot! A post office opened there in 1861, which was super important for people to send and receive letters and packages. Imagine how exciting it must have been to get mail back then! This post office served the community for many years, finally closing its doors in 1905. Besides the post office, Judson also had a country store. This store was probably where people bought everything they needed, from food to tools, and it was likely a place where neighbors met up and shared news.
