Julien is a small, quiet place in Christian County, Kentucky, United States. It is known as an "unincorporated community." This means it's a group of homes and businesses that don't have their own local government, like a city or town does. Instead, it's part of the larger Christian County.
The Story of Julien
Julien began to grow when a railroad line was built through the area. Railroads were super important back then! They helped people travel and moved goods from one place to another.
A special office for mail, called a post office, was opened in Julien in 1888. It was named "Julian" at first. This post office helped people send and receive letters and packages. It was a very important part of the community for many years. The post office stayed open until 1909.
