Julio César Toresani was an Argentine football player and manager. He was born on December 5, 1967, in Santa Fe, Argentina. Julio was known for playing in the midfield position. He passed away on April 22, 2019, at the age of 51.

Playing Career

Julio Toresani had a long and active career as a football player. He was a midfielder, which means he played in the middle of the field. Midfielders help both with defending their team's goal and attacking the opponent's goal. They are often seen as the engine of the team.

Early Clubs

Julio started his professional journey in 1986. His first club was Unión de Santa Fe. He played there for three years before moving to Instituto in 1989. After a year, he returned to Unión de Santa Fe for another season.

Big Teams and Success

From 1991 to 1995, Julio played for River Plate, one of Argentina's biggest football clubs. During his time there, he played in 89 matches and scored 7 goals. After River Plate, he joined Colón de Santa Fe.

In 1996, he moved to Boca Juniors, another famous Argentine club. Playing for both River Plate and Boca Juniors is quite rare for a player. He played 47 matches for Boca Juniors.
