Jørgen Vig Knudstorp (born November 21, 1968) is a Danish businessman. He is famous for his important work at LEGO. He was the CEO (Chief Executive Officer) of LEGO for over 12 years. From October 2004 to January 2017, he led the company. Now, he is the executive chairman of the LEGO Group.
He was only the second person from outside the LEGO family to lead the company. Many people say he helped LEGO become very successful again.

Early Life and Education
Jørgen Vig Knudstorp was born in Fredericia, Denmark, on November 21, 1968. He went to Fredericia Gymnasium for his high school education. After that, he studied at Aarhus University.
He earned a degree in economics. He continued his studies at Aarhus University, getting a master's degree in 1995 and a PhD in economics in 1998. Before joining LEGO, he also worked as a business consultant.
Leading the LEGO Group
Jørgen Vig Knudstorp joined the LEGO Group in 2001. He had previously worked as a consultant for McKinsey & Company. In 2004, he was chosen to be the new leader of LEGO.
Under Knudstorp's leadership, LEGO's yearly income changed a lot. The company went from losing money to making a lot of profit. In 2016, LEGO's sales grew by 600%. They went from 6.3 billion to 37.9 billion. In December 2016, it was announced that Knudstorp would step down as CEO. He then became the chairman of the LEGO Group. Bali Padda took over as CEO after him.

In January 2017, Starbucks asked Knudstorp to join its board of directors. A board of directors helps guide a company. In 2019, he also joined the board of Merlin Entertainments. This company runs many attractions, like Legoland parks.

Jørgen Vig Knudstorp is married to Vanessa, who is a medical doctor. They have four children together.
