Kids Encyclopedia Facts

Kōtō (江東区, Kōtō-ku) is one of the 23 special wards of Tokyo, Japan. The population was 498,109 in 2015.

On 15 March 1947, the ward of Kōtō was formed by combining the wards of Fukagawa and Jōtō.
