Emma Kate Simmons was born in Troy, New York on March 3, 1850. Her mother was Mary Sophia Gleason, and her father was Joseph Ferris Simmons, who worked as a banker. In 1883, she married a successful businessman named Charles Ranlett Flint. They lived together in a big city, Manhattan, New York.
Her Music and Charity Work
