Katherine Igoe's Early Life and Training
Katherine Igoe grew up in Abbeyleix, a town in County Laois, Ireland. She first went to college at University College Dublin. There, she studied computer science.
Later, she decided she wanted to be an actress instead. She moved to Edinburgh, Scotland. She studied acting at Queen Margaret College. This school is now known as Queen Margaret University. She finished her acting training in 1996.

Katherine Igoe has acted in many TV shows. Some of these include I Fought The Law (in 2003) and Down to Earth (in 2005). She also appeared in the detective show Taggart (in 1997).
She played the main character, Maire Brennan, in TV3's first drama made in Ireland. This show was called School Run. It was even nominated for a special award, the Best Single Drama, at the IFTAs.
