Kathleen Elizabeth Kelly (born June 2, 1987) is a former American-Canadian soccer player. She is now a soccer coach.

Early Life and High School Soccer
Katie Kelly was born and grew up in Kansas City, Missouri. Her parents are Neil and Shelley Kelly. She went to St. Teresa's Academy and played soccer there.
Katie was a very successful player for her high school team, the Stars. She helped them win state championships in 2002, 2003, and 2005. During her time with the team, she scored 32 goals and made 59 assists. She received many awards for her great playing.
She was named Missouri State Player of the Year in her senior year. She was also chosen as a high school All-America player.
Katie also played club soccer for the K.C. Dynamo team. This team won the National Championship in 2001. She also helped the Missouri State '86 Olympic Development Program (ODP) team win a National Championship in 2004.
College Soccer at Marquette University
Katie Kelly went to Marquette University and studied Public Relations. She played soccer for the Marquette Golden Eagles from 2005 to 2008.
As a freshman in 2005, Katie was important for her team's offense. She scored three goals and made four assists. She was named the Big East Conference Rookie of the Week. She also received honors as an All-Freshman player.
In her sophomore year, she started in all 23 games. She led her team with eight assists, which was one of the best totals in the program's history. She was named Big East Defensive Player of the Week twice.
During her junior season in 2007, Katie started all 20 games. She led the team with nine assists. Her assists ranked third in the Big East Conference. She was a key part of Marquette's defense, which allowed very few goals. She earned several awards, including All-Big East selection.
In her senior year, Katie started all 22 games. She was one of the top players on the team. She received All-America honors and was named to the All-Big East team for the third time in her career.
Professional Playing Career
After college, Katie Kelly played professional soccer for several teams.
Club Teams
Katie started her professional career in Sweden. She signed with Kristianstads DFF in 2010. She played in 20 games for the team.
In 2013, Katie joined FC Kansas City in the new National Women's Soccer League. She played seven games for them.
She also played for other teams like Hammarby in Sweden, F.C. Indiana in the U.S., Lokomotive Leipzig in Germany, Kokkola Futis 10 and Åland United in Finland. In 2017, she played for KC Courage.
National Team Call-Up
In 2011, Katie Kelly was called to join the Canadian national team. However, she did not play in any games for the team.
Coaching Career
After her playing career, Katie Kelly became a soccer coach.
Avila University
On November 29, 2017, Katie was named the Head Coach for the Women's soccer team at Avila University. She coaches the Avila Eagles team.
Personal Life
On December 29, 2017, Katie Kelly married Brian LaForge. Brian is a dentist. Katie took his last name and is now known as Katie LaForge.
