Katsumi Tezuka (born August 31, 1912) was a Japanese actor. He is famous for playing giant monsters, known as kaiju, in many science fiction and horror movies made by Toho studios. These films were often directed by Ishirō Honda. One of his most well-known roles was playing Godzilla in the very first Godzilla movie in 1954, where he shared the role with Haruo Nakajima.
