Katsutomo Oshiba was born in Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan, on May 10, 1973. After finishing his studies at Meiji University, he started his professional football career in 1996.
Starting with Ventforet Kofu
His first club was Ventforet Kofu. This team was part of the Japan Football League at the time. He quickly became an important player, often playing as a forward. His skills helped the club a lot. In 1999, his team, Ventforet Kofu, was promoted to a new league called the J2 League.
Moving to JEF United Ichihara
In the year 2000, Katsutomo Oshiba joined a bigger club, JEF United Ichihara. This team played in the top league, the J1 League. Here, he played in many matches. He showed his talent as both an offensive midfielder and a forward. An offensive midfielder helps create chances for goals from the middle of the field. By 2003, he started getting fewer chances to play in games.
Playing for Vegalta Sendai
