Kazuhiro Murakami (村上 和弘, Murakami Kazuhiro, born January 20, 1981) is a former Japanese football player. He was known for playing as a defender. After his playing career, he became an assistant manager for Vegalta Sendai.

Kazuhiro Murakami's Football Journey
Kazuhiro Murakami was born in Yokkaichi, Mie on January 20, 1981. He grew up loving football and worked hard to become a professional player.
Early Days and First Clubs
After finishing high school, Kazuhiro Murakami joined Yokohama F. Marinos in 1999. This team plays in the J1 League, which is Japan's top football league. He played a few matches in the 1999 J.League Cup but did not get much playing time in the main league games.
In 2001, he moved to Vegalta Sendai, a club in the J2 League, which is the second division. In his first year there, he did not play much. However, Vegalta Sendai was promoted to the J1 League in 2002.
Becoming a Key Player
From 2002, Murakami started getting more chances to play as a substitute midfielder. In 2004, Vegalta Sendai moved back to the J2 League. From that year, he became a regular player, often playing on the left side of the field. By late 2005, he was a regular player as a left side back, which is a defensive position.
In 2007, Kazuhiro Murakami joined Kawasaki Frontale, another J1 League club. He quickly became a regular player, playing as a left side midfielder. In 2008, he played a bit less, but in 2009, he became a regular left side back again. During his time at Kawasaki Frontale, the team finished second in the J1 League for two years in a row (2008 and 2009). They also finished second in the Emperor's Cup in 2007 and 2009, which is another important football competition in Japan.
Later Career and Retirement
In 2010, Murakami moved to Omiya Ardija. He played many games for them as a right and left side back. However, his playing time started to decrease from 2012.
In July 2014, he returned to Vegalta Sendai, the club he had played for seven years earlier. He played for Vegalta Sendai until the end of the 2015 season, when he decided to retire from playing professional football. After retiring, he continued his involvement in football as an assistant manager for Vegalta Sendai.
