Kazuyuki Otsuka's Football Journey
Kazuyuki Otsuka was born in Oguni, Kumamoto, Japan, on July 7, 1982. After finishing high school, he joined a professional football club. This club was Avispa Fukuoka, which played in the top Japanese league, J1 League, in 2001.
Early Career at Avispa Fukuoka
When he first joined Avispa Fukuoka in 2001, Kazuyuki did not play in any matches. That year, Avispa Fukuoka moved down to the J2 League, which is the second division. In 2002, he started playing more often. He played many games as a midfielder until 2003.
However, from 2004, he did not play as much. In 2005, Avispa Fukuoka finished second in the J2 League. This meant they were promoted back to the J1 League for the 2006 season. Even though the team moved up, Kazuyuki did not play in any matches during 2006.
Moving to V-Varen Nagasaki
In October 2006, Kazuyuki Otsuka went to play for V-Varen Nagasaki. He joined them on a temporary transfer, called a loan. V-Varen Nagasaki was a club in the Japanese Regional Leagues, which are lower divisions.
In 2007, he returned to Avispa Fukuoka. By then, Avispa Fukuoka had moved back down to the J2 League. Still, Kazuyuki did not play much for them.
Becoming a Regular Player
In 2008, Kazuyuki Otsuka joined V-Varen Nagasaki again, this time permanently. He became a regular player for the team. He played in many matches. Because of their good performance, V-Varen Nagasaki was promoted to the Japan Football League in 2009. This was a higher league for them.
Kazuyuki continued to play for V-Varen Nagasaki in the Japan Football League. He played until the end of the 2010 season. After that, he decided to retire from playing professional football.
