Ken Foree (born February 29, 1948) is an American actor. He is well-known for playing Peter in the horror movie Dawn of the Dead (1978). Many kids also know him as Roger Rockmore from the Nickelodeon TV show Kenan & Kel (1996–2000).
Early Life and Acting Career
Ken Foree was born in Indianapolis, Indiana. He is the oldest of four brothers. He started acting in the 1970s.
He appeared in movies like The Bingo Long Traveling All-Stars & Motor Kings and The Wanderers. He also had roles in Knightriders and From Beyond. In 1995, he was in an episode of The X-Files. He also appeared in the GROPOS episode of Babylon 5.
A big role for Ken Foree was playing Roger Rockmore. He was Kenan and Kyra's dad on the popular Nickelodeon sitcom Kenan & Kel. In 2005, he played Charlie Altamont in the movie The Devil's Rejects. In 2007, he was in Rob Zombie's remake of the horror movie Halloween.
Ken Foree also appeared as himself in the 2008 book Bad Moon Rising by Jonathan Maberry. In this story, he is one of several real-life horror stars in a town when monsters appear.
A fun fact: the horror-comedy movie Shaun of the Dead mentions Ken Foree. The main character in that film works for a company called Foree Electronics.
Ken Foree has shared on his Instagram that he is working on a zombie horror comic. It is called Descendants of the Undead.
Foree Fest: A Horror Celebration
Ken Foree has his very own horror festival! It is called Foree Fest. The first festival happened in the U.K. in 2007. A second event was held in October 2009. The third Foree Fest took place in 2013.
