Kids and Company was an American children's TV show. It aired on Saturday mornings from September 1, 1951, to May 2, 1953. The show was on the DuMont Television Network, which is no longer around today.

The hosts of the show were Johnny Olson and Ham Fisher. A company called Red Goose Shoes was the main sponsor of the series. This was Johnny Olson's third show for DuMont. He had also hosted a talent show called Doorway to Fame and a daytime variety show called Johnny Olson's Rumpus Room.

Finding Old Episodes

It's pretty cool that some parts of Kids and Company still exist! The final episode of the first season, which aired on May 24, 1952, is kept safe. You can find it at the UCLA Film and Television Archive.

In that episode, Johnny Olson told viewers the show would return for a new season. This was planned for August 9, 1952, after a ten-week break. He even led the cast in singing "Auld Lang Syne" to celebrate. Other episodes of the show are also held by the Paley Center for Media and the Museum of Broadcast Communications. These places help keep old TV shows and media safe for people to study and enjoy.
