Kikuō Hayashiya (Japanese: 林家 木久扇, Hepburn: Hayashiya Kikuō, born October 19, 1937) is a famous Japanese entertainer. He was born on October 19, 1937. He is best known as a rakugo performer and a regular on the popular TV comedy show Shōten. His real name is Hiroshi Toyota.
For many years, he was known by his stage name Kikuzō Hayashiya. His son now uses that name! On Shōten, Kikuō Hayashiya always wears a bright yellow kimono. He is famous for telling simple jokes and often acting silly, which makes people laugh.

Rakugo is a traditional Japanese way of storytelling. A single storyteller sits on stage and tells a long, funny story. They use only a fan and a small cloth as props. The storyteller plays all the characters by changing their voice and gestures. It's a very old and respected art form in Japan.
