Starting His Football Journey
Before becoming a professional, Kim Yeong-gi played football in college. From 2003 to 2006, he was part of the team at Momoyama Gakuin University. This is where he developed his skills as a goalkeeper.
Playing for Shonan Bellmare
Kim Yeong-gi started his professional career in 2007. He joined a Japanese club called Shonan Bellmare. He played for this team for six years, until 2012.
