Kimberly-Ann Collins was born in 1992. She grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. Her mother, Dr. LaTonia Collins-Smith, is the President of Harris-Stowe State College. Her older brother, John Collins-Muhammad, was a Saint Louis Alderman. He was the youngest person ever elected to that role in the city.

Kimberly-Ann went to the University of Missouri–Kansas City. There, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree. Her main studies were in public health science. She also studied chemistry.

Her Work Before Politics

Before she became a politician, Kimberly-Ann Collins worked for different groups. She worked for PotBangerz, which is a non-profit group. This group helps with community justice. She also worked for RedBike and City Hope STL. These jobs helped her understand the needs of her community.

Becoming a State Representative

Kimberly-Ann Collins was elected to the Missouri House of Representatives in November 2020. She officially started her work as a representative on January 6, 2021. As a representative, she works to make decisions and create laws that help the people in her district and across Missouri.
