Kirsten Tibballs is a famous Australian pastry chef and chocolatier. She is known for her amazing skills in making delicious desserts and chocolates. Many people call her the 'Queen of Chocolate' because she has done so much for the chocolate world.

In 2004, Kirsten represented Australia in a big competition called the World Pastry Team Championships in Las Vegas, USA. She won first place for her individual chocolates! She also won a gold medal at the Pastry Olympics in Germany that same year. Later, in 2022, she was the main judge for taste at the World Chocolate Masters in Paris.

Kirsten started her own school, Savour Chocolate and Patisserie School, in Melbourne in 2002. She has also written three cookbooks and appears on TV shows like MasterChef Australia. She even has her own show called The Chocolate Queen.

Kirsten Tibballs is a special ambassador for Bulla Family Dairy, a well-known dairy company. She is also the only global ambassador for Callebaut, a famous Belgian chocolate brand. This means she helps represent and promote their products all over the world.

Savour Chocolate and Patisserie School

Kirsten Tibballs opened Savour Chocolate and Patisserie School in 2002. She noticed that Australia was a bit behind Europe when it came to pastry and chocolate making. She wanted to create a place where Australian chefs could learn advanced skills without having to travel overseas.

As the owner and director, Kirsten runs the school. It offers many different classes on how to make amazing chocolates and pastries. In 2013, the school grew even more when Kirsten launched an online platform. This platform has video lessons for people all around the world. By 2024, there were over 550 online classes available! Many famous chefs from around the world have also taught classes at Savour.

The Chocolate Queen TV Show

Kirsten Tibballs hosts her own television show called The Chocolate Queen. This show is made for people who love to bake at home. It features easy-to-follow recipes and clever tips for working with chocolate. The show first aired in 2018 in Australia and other countries. It was very popular, leading to four more seasons. The show has now been shown in 89 countries!

Special Projects and Demonstrations

In 2023, Kirsten Tibballs worked with Bulla Family Dairy to create a new range of ice creams. These ice creams, part of the Murray Street Ice Creamery, were inspired by Kirsten's own famous desserts.

Kirsten also travels across Australia to show off her amazing chocolate and pastry skills. She gives live demonstrations at big events like The Good Food & Wine Shows and the Cake Bake & Sweet Shows.

Cookbooks by Kirsten

Kirsten Tibballs has written three cookbooks. Her first book, Chocolate to Savour, came out in 2012. It even won an award for Best Photography Cookbook in the UK! In 2016, she released her second book, simply called Chocolate. Her third book, Chocolate All Day, was published in 2023.

Besides her own show, The Chocolate Queen, Kirsten Tibballs has appeared as a guest on many other TV programs.

She has been on MasterChef Australia several times. For example, in the Series 9 finale, she presented a challenging dessert called 'Trio of Fruits'. She has also appeared on Everyday Gourmet with Justine Schofield, a cooking show hosted by a former MasterChef Australia contestant.

In 2023, Kirsten also competed in the first season of Dessert Masters. This show is a spin-off from MasterChef, where top pastry chefs and dessert makers compete against each other.
