Kleber Romero, born on February 14, 1976, in Santa Cecília do Pavão, Brazil, is a well-known Brazilian football player and manager. He used to play as a midfielder. Today, he is the manager of Treze Futebol Clube.
Playing Career
Kleber Romero had an exciting career playing for many football clubs. In 1999, he played in the J2 League for Consadole Sapporo in Japan. This was a big step in his playing journey.
He also played in Brazil's important leagues. For example, he was part of teams in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série B. He played for Sport Club do Recife in 2006, São Caetano in 2007, Vila Nova in 2008, and Campinense in 2009.
Throughout his career, Kleber Romero also represented other Brazilian clubs. These included Matsubara, Mirassol, Maringá, Treze, Criciúma, and Rio Branco-SP.
Managerial Career
After his playing days, Kleber Romero moved into managing football teams. In October 2012, he became the sporting director for Campinense. A sporting director helps manage the team's players and overall football operations.
He helped Campinense win the 2013 Copa do Nordeste, which is an important football tournament. After this success, he left Campinense at the end of the 2014 season. He then took on the same role as sporting director for CSE-AL.
In October 2017, Kleber Romero joined Treze as an assistant coach. An assistant coach helps the main coach with training and game strategies. He has also stepped in as the temporary head coach for Treze several times, most recently in March 2019.
