Koji Kataoka (片岡 功二, Kataoka Kōji, born June 19, 1977) is a former Japanese soccer player. He played as a midfielder. Koji was part of the Japan Football League XI team. This team won the 1999 Bangabandhu Cup.

Koji Kataoka played soccer for many years. He was a midfielder, which is a player who helps both in defense and attack. His main club was Tokushima Vortis.

Playing for Tokushima Vortis

Koji started his career in 1996. He played for a team called Otsuka Pharmaceutical. This team later became known as Tokushima Vortis. He stayed with this club for his entire career.
