Kokopu School History and Details
Kokopu School is a school for both boys and girls, teaching students from year 1 to year 8. This means it covers primary school years. The school has about 95 students. It has a "decile rating" of 9, which is a way to show that the school's community is generally well-off.
The school first opened its doors in 1914. For the first twenty years, it had a unique setup: it shared its teacher with another school called Kara School. This meant the teacher would split their time between both schools.
